The Kia Seltos subcompact crossover SUV was introduced by the Korean manufacturer in 2019. It’s larger and quicker than most of its rivals in the subcompact SUV category, and that’s a big reason why it has been selling so well. Improvements have been made every year, and the 2023 edition comes with five useful trim levels.

LX

For a base-level trim, the Seltos LX is stacked with useful features. It has an 8-inch touchscreen display which is compatible with the vehicle’s six-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Its safety features include lane following assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, rearview monitor, forward collision avoidance assist with pedestrian detection, and automatic emergency braking.

The 146-horsepower 2-liter four-cylinder engine gives the vehicle impressive acceleration. You can expect to make 27 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway with this engine. All trims come with all-wheel drive as standard, except the S trim.

S

The S trim adds a range of extra useful safety features. These include rear cross-traffic alert and a blind-spot collision avoidance system. You’ll also enjoy the smart key with a push button start, automatic climate control, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. A larger 10.3-inch infotainment system with Kia Connect, SiriusXM, and in-dash navigation is available as an add-on.

EX

The EX trim adds 17-inch alloy wheels with a machined finish and a sunroof. You can enjoy the heated front seats and a power driver’s seat with a SynTex trim. The larger infotainment system is available as standard with this trim and the following two, as well.

Nightfall Edition

The Nightfall edition of the Seltos includes an impressive range of aesthetic upgrades including black roof rails, a black grille, and black door garnish.

You’ll upgrade to the 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine. You can expect to achieve 25 miles per gallon in the city or 30 miles per gallon on the highway. There are 18-inch alloy wheels on this Nightfall edition. You can choose one of nine coats with this trim.

SX

The SX trim has the 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, as well. Additional features include LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, cyclist detection systems, and a Bose premium audio system with eight speakers. There is a choice of 12 different coats with this trim.

The Seltos has traditionally been one of the best-selling Kia vehicles, and its vast range of options for trim levels is one of the key reasons why.
