The sleek and stylish 2022 Kia Forte brings a whole lot of performance, comfort, and features to the table, and all in a very budget-friendly vehicle! Even at its simplest trim level, the 2022 Forte has a lot going for it, and it just gets better from there. To help you decide which package of features and looks is the right fit for you, we’ve put together a quick guide to the trim levels of the 2022 Kia Forte. Enjoy!

Forte FE

Despite being the lowest trim level for the new Forte, the FE trim comes equipped with a pretty generous amount of features. This trim, like the LXS and GT Line, is powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine which is paired with an automatic transmission and, along with every Forte, an FWD drivetrain. Inside is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, air conditioning, cruise control, remote keyless entry, and more.

Forte LXS

The next trim level up from the FE is the Forte LXS, which comes with a few additional features, and an optional technology package. The LXS comes standard with 16-inch alloy wheels and 60/40 split-folding second-row seating. The technology package can be added to this and includes blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, heated outboard mirrors, and a “safe exit warning” for passengers on the street side of the vehicle.

Forte GT Line

The Forte GT Line takes all the features of the previous trim levels and dials the sportiness up a notch. The GT Line includes all of the features in the technology package (which were optional in the LXS), and also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, a rear spoiler, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, alloy pedals, dual-zone automatic climate control, a rear-seat center armrest, upgraded 10.2-inch infotainment screen, and much more.

The GT Line trim also opens drivers up to a host of option packages. These are the GT Technology package, with an electronic parking brake and intelligent cruise control, the Sport Premium package, with a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat, faux-leather seating, and a ventilated and heated driver’s seat, and the Premium package, with an electronic parking brake, power sunroof, and wireless phone charger.

Forte GT

The final trim level for the Forte, the Forte GT, upgrades the Forte’s powertrain to the peppy 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. To the features of the GT Line it adds 18-inch alloy wheels, wireless phone charger, paddle shifters, and sliding sun visors. The Technology package is still available, and a new GT2 package has been added, which comes with all the features of the GT Line Premium package plus a power sunroof, rear parking assist, faux-leather seating, and more.

The Forte GT can also be bought with a manual transmission and is in fact the only Forte trim level to be available with a manual. The 6-speed manual runs on the same engine as the automatic Forte GT.

Each of the Forte trims certainly looks great on paper, but they look even better in person. Come on down and visit us at Koons Kia of Owings Mills today, and check out our variety of quality new and used vehicles for yourself!
