Roundtop also has great family-friendly activities, kids’ activities, and a rental shop. It is open on weekends through February 9 and then open daily from February 16 – March 31. Roundtop also hosts “Snowfest” every weekend in February and March, which includes indoor and outdoor activities like rock climbing, sledding, ice skating, snow tubing, live music, and food and drinks.
Seven Springs Mountain Resort – Snow Tubing and Ice Skating
Located at 777 Water Wheel Dr, Champion, Seven Springs Mountain Resort is a ski resort that offers snow tubing as well as ice skating opportunities. Seven Springs also has a winter wonderland maze that is open daily and a snow tubing park that is open weekends in December, daily in January and February, and weekends in March.
And for ice skating, Seven Springs hosts “Skate with Santa” each weekend in December and “Holiday on Ice” in December and January. During the Holiday on Ice event, there are ice skating performances, a food court, and a holiday boutique.
The Ice Rink at the Shops at Kenilworth – Recreational Ice Skating and Hockey
The Ice Rink at the Shops at Kenilworth is one of the best activities near Owings Mills. It’s an indoor ice skating rink that’s open all year long and a great place to go for some recreational ice skating or hockey. And since it’s indoors, you don’t have to worry about the weather! The Ice Rink also hosts special events throughout the year, like a Stay and Play Hockey School and Frozen Tots.
