The 2022 Sportage comes in four trims, the LX, Nightfall Edition, EX, and the SX Turbo. Whether you want to take the family on a road trip or use the Sportage as a daily driver, you're sure to find the perfect trim to fit your budget and lifestyle. The coupe-like profile of this SUV has sleek lines from the front to the back.

You'll notice impressive raked-back LED headlights that flank the tiger nose-shaped front grille. The dropped valance and integrated fog lights help to give the Sportage a muscular appearance. From the back, this SUV has a lifted appearance with contemporary taillights that seem to float across the back hatch. The Kia Sportage rides on 17-, 18-, or 19-inch wheels.

You get two engine options for the 2022 Sportage. The LX, Nightfall Edition, and EX all come with a 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. Under the hood of the SX Turbo, you'll find a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine that delivers 240 horsepower and 237 pound-feet of torque. An electronically controlled six-speed automatic transmission with a Sportmatic mode pairs with the engine choices.

All trims come standard with front-wheel drive or you can choose traction-grabbing Dynamax all-wheel drive with a locking center differential. As you drive the Sportage, you'll notice how smooth and quiet the ride is and how well this SUV handles. The front of the Sportage has MacPherson struts and gas absorbers, and the rear suspension consists of an independent multilink system with high-performance dampers. When properly equipped, you can tow up to 2,000 pounds with the 2022 Kia Sportage.

Inside of the Sportage, you'll find two rows of seats that can fit up to five people with plenty of legroom and headroom for everyone. Comfortable woven cloth seat coverings come on the LX, while the three upper trims get upscale SynTex material. With the back row seat folded down, you can get up to 60.1 cubic feet of cargo space.

Kia's UVO infotainment system features an 8-inch touch screen and, depending on the trim, it comes with voice-command navigation and satellite radio with voice recognition. All trims have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, as well as Bluetooth, Siri Eyes-Free, and a six-speaker sound system. Choose the SX Turbo trim to get a premium Harman Kardon surround-sound stereo that's also available on the EX trim. The Nightfall Edition, EX, and SX Turbo have power-adjustable heated front seats, along with a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob.

You can have peace of mind that all of the 2022 Kia Sportage trims come with Kia's Drive Wise technology. This bundle of driver-assist features includes a driver attention warning, high- and low-beam headlight assist, a lane mitigation system, and parking assist.
