2022 Kia Soul

You have six trims to choose from, the LX, S, X-Line, GT-Line, EX, and the Turbo, to find the perfect 2022 Kia Soul to fit your budget and lifestyle. If you want a rugged-looking Soul, choose the X-Line that has black plastic cladding and its own Undercover Green paint color. The GT-Line sports a unique wheel design, body-colored trim, and some fun red exterior accents.

What makes the Kia Soul stand out from other subcompact SUVs is its wide boxy styling. The front of the Soul has slim wing-shaped headlights and a large dropped fascia and grille that has integrated fog lights. The back of the Kia squares right off with taillights that wrap around the back windshield.

The spunky Kia Soul has an amazing amount of power for a subcompact SUV. You'll find a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 147 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque under the hood of the five lower trims. The Turbo trim gets its own engine using a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine pumping out 201 horsepower and 195 pound-feet of torque. A continuously variable transmission pairs with the 2.0-liter engine. The Turbo, with its 1.6-liter engine, gets a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

All trims in the 2022 Soul lineup come with front-wheel drive. This easy-to-drive SUV has excellent handling due to its suspension system. You'll find MacPherson struts, gas shock absorbers, and a stabilizer bar in the front of the Soul. In the rear, the Soul gets a coupled torsion beam axle and gas shock absorbers. The GT-Line, X-Line, and Turbo have an additional specialized sports-tuned suspension system.

Inside of the 2022 Soul, you'll find two rows of seats that can fit up to five people comfortably. Cloth upholstery comes standard on the lower trims, and the Turbo gets synthetic leather upholstery with premium cloth fabric. Upscale features include heated mutliadjustable front seats and remote keyless entry. You'll have lots of room to carry supplies, groceries, and luggage with 62.1 cubic feet of storage space with the back row folded down. Add the available dual-level cargo board so the seats can fold completely flat.

All of the Soul trims come with Kia's UVO infotainment system featuring a 10.25-inch touch screen, except for the base LX, which has an 8-inch touch screen. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a wireless phone charger, and a six-speaker sound system come standard. The Turbo gets a Harman Kardon premium stereo system and speaker lights with multiple ambiance themes.

All but the LX trim comes standard with Kia's Drive Wise bundle of driver-assist technology. Key features of this system include a lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and a forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection. Additional features include blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and high-beam assist.
