Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Kia EV6 comes in three trims: base, GT-Line, and GT. Its exterior has a sleek design with a wide stance, which gives you a spacious interior. Flush door handles and available 20-inch wheels add to the vehicle's sophistication. The vehicle also comes in three colors — Steel Gray Matte, Urban Yellow, and Glacier White.
Engine (Power)
Every EV6 vehicle features an all-electric drivetrain, which includes either a 168-horsepower electric motor powered by a 58-kWh battery or a 77.4-kW battery that gets 218 horsepower. Adding a second electric motor with this larger battery creates all-wheel drive and 313 horsepower. Also, all EV6 models come with rear-wheel drive and a five-link rear suspension that delivers sporty and responsive handling. Available all-wheel-drive models have dual motors that deliver superior acceleration and all-weather grip.
Performance
According to Kia, the EV6 can travel up to 300 miles on a single charge, depending on the trim and powertrain configurations. The EV6 is ready to charge at 400- and 800-volt fast-charging stations. At the 800-volt fast-charging stations, it takes 18 minutes to receive up to 210 miles of charge. You can also use the 11-kW onboard charger to use a Level 2 240-volt charger to connect your vehicle and recharge it overnight at your home. To locate charging stations or monitor charging status, you can use the Kia Connect app or access information via the touch-screen display.
Interior
The future is on full display once you enter the cabin of the 2022 EV6. Dual 12.3-inch curved screens give you a combined 24 inches of curved display for navigation, entertainment, diagnostic, and vehicle information. An integrated blue-light filter helps to reduce eyestrain and driver fatigue. If you have an Apple Watch, you can connect it with the EV6 via the Kia Connect app so you can remotely start/stop charging it and remotely open/close charge ports.
By using Giga steel, Kia has made the EV6's front seats thinner. Doing so maintains comfort on the seats while increasing rear-seat legroom. The vehicle's design also gives more room through a flatter floor, front trunk, and extra front interior storage. As a result, the EV6 has an interior volume that rivals some midsize SUVs.
Safety Features
Kia made safety paramount with the EV6, and you'll notice many high-tech safety features are standard. Its highway driving assist feature uses a forward-facing camera and radar sensors to help you maintain a comfortable speed and distance from the vehicle ahead of you. Its remote smart parking assist feature lets you remotely park the vehicle from a parking spot while you're outside of it. An augmented head-up display shows key safety information and route assistance in augmented reality, so you can keep your eyes directly on the road.
