Trim Levels (Exterior)
The Stinger GT-Line is the entry-level model. It comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, black chrome exterior trim elements, LED daytime running lights, heated side exterior mirrors, and automatic headlights. The GT adds 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, and upgraded exterior trim, and the GT1 comes with self-dimming side mirrors, a power sunroof, adaptive suspension dampers, and automatic wipers. Step up to the GT2 for adaptive headlights and a power-operated trunk lid.
Engine (Power)
The GT-Line comes with a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine that puts out 255 horsepower. It uses rear-wheel drive with all-wheel drive offered as an option. The GT bumps up its performance with a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V-6 gas engine. It generates 365 horsepower and gets 376 pound-feet of torque. Both engines work with an eight-speed automatic transmission and have paddle shifters under the steering wheel.
Performance
The Stinger GT with the V-6 engine is fun. You'll hear a satisfying growl as soon as you turn the key, and once you get on the road, the responsive steering and well-tuned suspension all work together to make it the ultimate sports sedan. The transmission executes smooth and seamless shifts, and you can choose from Smart, Eco, Comfort, and Sport driving modes to make the most out of the road conditions.
Interior
Inside, the Stinger has room for five with well-padded and comfortable seats in both rows. Behind all the seats, there are 23.3 cubic feet of cargo space, which opens to 40.9 cubic feet if you want to fold the rear seats down. Standard cabin features include aluminum pedals, a 12-way power-adjustable driver's seat, leather upholstery, and a leather-wrapped flat-bottom steering wheel. The GT1 has heated and ventilated front seats, and the GT2 upgrades to Nappa leather and adds heated rear seats. The upscale GT2 also has an adjustable thigh extension, and side bolsters for the driver.
Technology in the Stinger starts with a 7-inch touch screen, a six-speaker stereo, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a wireless charger. The GT1 upgrades to an 8-inch touch screen, and it adds navigation and a 15-speaker Harmon Kardon stereo system. Kia offers the Sun and Sound Package for the GT-Line with the 8-inch touch screen, navigation, and the 15-speaker stereo.
Safety Features
Every Stinger comes standard with active and passive safety features such as rear parking sensors, a blind-spot monitor, and rear cross-traffic alert. Adaptive cruise control comes with the GT, and if you bump up to the GT1, it adds forward collision warning with mitigation and lane-departure alert with lane-keep assist to help you steer back into your lane. The GT2 adds to all of this with a 360-degree surround-view camera system and a head-up display for the driver.
