The Power

The 2023 Sorento and the 2023 Santa Fe have similar powertrain options. They both start with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that puts out 191 horsepower. A 2.5-liter turbo four-cylinder is available for both models. This upgrade will get you 281 horsepower.

The Trim Lineup

The available trims are what separate these two crossovers. The Kia Sorento offers the X-Line appearance package for several of the trims with all-wheel drive, raised roof rails, and dark wheels for a more aggressive look. The Santa Fe doesn't offer this appearance package, but it does have the XRT trim with side steps and dark exterior trim.

The Sorento's top-level SX Prestige model has upscale features such as leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The Santa Fe offers the Calligraphy trim with premium leather and ambient interior lighting.

The Technology

You'll get lots of tech in both the Sorento and Santa Fe. An 8-inch touchscreen comes standard in both models, but you can get a 10.25-inch touchscreen in the Sorento S. This trim also adds navigation and extra safety technology.

The 2023 Kia Sorento, with its trim choices and added technology, has the edge when compared to the 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe.
